I thought I'd jot down some thoughts before I head to bed.
I came across another pagan blog today and while I didn't have much time to read through earlier postings, the ladies personality came across in such a lovely way...sadly, no link as I didn't think to copy it down at the time. However, it was someone who was comfortable in their spirituality and in the material world. A lot of paths do have the casting aside of material wants and at times this seems to be a throw away of modern sense as well.
I have to say that I'm in agreement with this lovely lady as I do embrace modern fashion, to a degree and I'm also able to enjoy some of the finer things in life at times. This isn't to say that I don't give and support charities that I feel make a real contribution to the world, I most certainly do. I'm also very active in the local pagan community.
It's not really a bee in my bonnet, it's more of an observation that while the internet and mobile phones are all well and good, things like how to dress oppropriately for work are chucked out the window. This doesn't really have anything to do with being abroad, but I couldnt' help myself.
Now if you're wanting to talk tattoos in the work place I do have to say that the UK is much more tolerant of them being visible than in the States, at least as far as my jobs are concerned.
Well, there's a bit of late night rambling before bed time for my non-existant readers. xx
